I’ve done this before, and I can tell you from experience that it’s a total pain in the ass. One way to get the terminal is to download it from github and compile it yourself. But if you’re anything like me and simply can’t wait to get your hands on the new and shiny things, there’s a way to do that, too. The Windows Terminal (Codename: Cascadia) is an open source project that is still under development by Microsoft and will be shipped with a future version of Windows.
